Most of you will recognise the above as the heading of our monthly Archives publication, “An Cartlann“, which you probably receive by email. Well now we have added all previous issues (going back to our first in June, 2025) to this archives site. To all our Members, Players, Supporters – Past and Present:
We would very much welcome your input and assistance in growing both our knowledge of our Club since its foundation in 1884 and in adding to the many artefacts and memorabilia which we have already collected and catalogued.
If you would like to donate, loan, copy and/or share any memorabilia and/or artefacts, of any kind, we would be delighted to accept same and guarantee that we will safeguard all donations and will return any items requested in the condition in which we receive them, in a timely manner. Every Shannon household out there has some memorabilia and/or artefact “safely stored and long forgotten” somewhere in the House and we would ask all of you to locate same and share them with us, if possible. This Archive would also be delighted to receive memorabilia, articles, photos, stories, etc of any kind, not alone from the distant past but also from the recent past. This Archive is in its infancy and we are slowly building up a sizeable stock of material but more is always welcome. Send them to the email address below.
*Updated* (31 August 2026): Added copies of all issues of our monthly publication:’ ‘AN CARTLANN’, plus a number of other items. You can check what’s new by scrolling right in each section in each decade to see the date of upload. We currently have well over 1000 items uploaded….with plenty more to come!
